Route 2021!

An intense route with 178 km and 6.100 m+.

The third edition of MMR Asturias Bike Race that will be held from July 2-4 in Oviedo and the last stage in Lugones, will race 178 kilometres with 6.100 metres of climbing distributed in three marathon stages with the main venue in Oviedo (Oviedo Sports Center).

The STAGE 1 will open the competition in Oviedo and will be held for the first time in the capital of the Principality of Asturias with a stage of 60 kilometres and 2,050 metres of climbing, in an intense marathon stage with constant uphills and downhills racing in the forest.

NISSAN SUPER STAGE will be the Queen stage and will be 70 kilometres and 2.600 metres of climbing, also starting from the Oviedo Sports Center towards Olloniego. It will be a tough stage, with the most technical climb of the day at the highest point of the Concejo de Oviedo (Escobin peak) up to 690 metres, passing through stretches of virgin mountain without villages or houses in the middle of the natural landscape that offers Asturias.

The FINISHER STAGE with 45 kilometres and 1,680 metres of climbing will race entirely in the area of Lugones (8 kilometres from Oviedo) and very similar to the last stage that took place in the 2019 edition. A pure marathon stage that races entirely through the Monte Naranco both uphill and downhill, being able to see the Cristo del Naranco in front and behind.

An edition with a tough route, rally type and XC style but suitable for all cyclists, where everyone will set their own pace and skills to successfully finish this MMR Asturias Bike Race. It will be the most demanding edition in the history of the competition, but it will incorporate many fun sections of pure Mountain Biking and a lot of flow, which will undoubtedly end with a group smile at the finish line.
